Sencillo de Tarja Turunen del álbum What Lies Beneath

Declare: For entertainment purposes only.

Tarja:

Burning out in the distance you're falling

Starting to fade

Light is condemned to be tied down by gravity close to the end

Do you still remember?

Before the weight that pulled you under

Dared you to rise

Where are you now?

Are you proud of the life you wasted?

Wearing the crown of illusion you created

You'll never know what it feels like to shine

You're the master in your own mind

But a slave to all

You are a dark star

Phil:

Empty

Is never enough

You keep clawing for what you can't reach

Tarja:

Smothering space filled without any grace and I can't breathe

Nothing lasts forever

Even the stars will loose their luster returning to dust

Where are you now?

Are you proud of the life you wasted?

Wearing the crown of illusion you created

You'll never know what it feels like to shine

You're the master in your own mind

But a slave to all

You are a dark star

Dark (dark ) Star( star) (x4)

Where are you now?

Are you proud of the life you wasted?

Wearing the crown of illusion you created

You'll never know what it feels like to shine

You're the master in your own mind

But a slave to all

You are a dark star

If you've read Tuomas' & the band's open letter firing Tarja, & her open letter in reply (all still there on the respective sites), then you probably agree that her being fired was all about *absurd* lack of communication. (That's the nicest way I can word it).The official Tarja site still has available an insightful section where Tarja's husband (I think his name is Marcelles?) wrote about 100+ pages answering over 150 fan questions about her being fired. Concerning the firing, he provides an English-language summary of his point of view as an insider. [It's pretty interesting reading for a Nightwish and/or Tarja fan. Makes me want to buy the book Tuomas had written about the Nightwish.]Tarja's now-husband was on-the-spot at (I think) every single show on the 2005 tour: as her manager, as the record label owner NW used at that time, and as her emerging friend and lover. Marcelles' Q&A section on the Tarja website offers the other point of view, after so many interviews with Tuomas about why he kicked Tarja out of the band. I sound like an obsessed fan, but it was just interesting to see an insight into the NW-Tarja drama from behind the scenes. But I like Nightwish now with Floor much better, as a lot of NW fans do. Tarja sings more beautifully, but Floor is incredible and fits better with NW as they are. I'm glad NW had Tarja, & agree that her vocals AND angelic beauty surely contributed greatly to their success- if they had started out with Floor's voice, who knows what would've been? I think it makes sense that Tarja's unmatched vocal & aesthetic beauty helped irrefutabley.Tarja was awesome in Nightwish, and I think Tarja's writing style showcases her voice better then when she sang Tuomas' songs. One divergence from his writing style for melody, specifically, is that Tarja writes to enable a larger number of long syllables. Her slow tremolo is powerfully beautiful, and Tuomas' writing usually optimized that- which might've limited his own creativity, but I'm stretching my imagination based only on the faster lyrical pace he set without Tarja on songs like "Storytime".I think Tuomas is such a different writer than Tarja that there's hardly any comparison. Tarja writes well, & her lyrics have merit as poetry; but it's her emotive vocal beauty that defines her artistry. And I bet my long-winded comment gets thumbed-to the bottom! But it was fun to write. Nightwish & Tarja are inspiring!

What....? Lol Are you referring to the horrible things Americans have done in war, or what? Because Asian nations have done things on the same level. Thousands murdered in cold blood and raped by the Japanese in WWII. China is similar. There is no perfect nation. Leave America if you like, but you'll find there are issues everywhere you go.

I can speak 2 or 3 languages. Why can´t "americans" ( meaning US citizens like "Giordono" ) speak Spanish? ...because of the narrow mind you exemplify...

And one more thing... You really think the artists of around the globe speccialy the singers and musicians don't want to earn money? If Nightwish didn't want money than they should give the theirs CDS for free, not to sell.

The only thing she used to ask in her dressing-room was a mirror to she can put on make up. I don't think this is ambition. The letter says something about "your husband and our cultural differences" COME ON this Tuomas is Jealous! He was in love with her.
