I started singing this song for no apparent reason one time, at a stop light and a cop beside that I was crazy. (my singing ain't the best) This sing has always has been one of my faves I sing it when I am feeling down or just bored.

I believe this song was the first song I had heard by Tanya Tucker or at least the first during the video era...Delta Dawn may have been the first song of hers that I heard but in any case, this song sparked my interest in her music and her albums and I went out and got as many of her albums as I could. Her more recent albums aren't as much my favorites as the older albums - in her early career she had access to songs by really good writers. I find it sad that often country music magazines seem to ignore her when they make up "greatest hits" or top artist lists but not everyone has the same taste. I can say that generally those whom the lists refer to are often singers I have little or no interest in.

I saw Tanya Tucker perform twice - once was at a hotel lounge (J.R.'s or something like that?) in Paducah, KY, in May of '98. She even brought her daughter out on stage to perform. (Her little girl must be all grown up by now - God how time flies!) It was awesome to be able to see her perform in that small, intimate venue. This was my favorite TT song of the 90s - maybe of all-time.
