I was not an advocate of Tamia. I met her at my job when she dined with her husband Grant Hill and other family members of Grant at Commander's Palace in New Orleans where I had the privileged to manage for 10 years,.Grant's grandfather was a delight, although he was blind, I felt that he was seeing right through me. Apparently Grants family is routed in New Orleans which was the reason for the visit. Although Tamia was very rude when I mentioned to the family that Janet Jackson was giving her album release party in the Patio Room next to them, Tamia seemed to be very defensive of the statement. However, moving forward, I had brain surgery and it was a very difficult moment in my life. Recently I heard this song at a club and wanted to know who sang it. When my friend Demetri told me it was Tamia, I didn't believe him. My friend Randy and I googled it and played it repeatedly on You tube and as I was driving, I must honestly say that I had to pull over and shed many tears I could not continue to drive because this song spoke to me in a way that I could not imagine. After doing some minor research, I had discovered that Tamia had Muscular Sclerosis and came to the conclusion that she was going through a difficult time as I did. I feel really bad to once have had a bad taste in my mouth for this young lady. I sincerely pray that God would deliver her from her illness. I am a living miracle and I pray that she would be too. I will continue to listen to her music. I love you Tamia. May God bless you.
