Makes a song called Scarecrow and gives it a Syd Barrett vibe. If that's a coincidence my mind is blown.@_@

You hang around for a livingSomewhere between all the land & the skyBeing by never forgivingNobody knows you and neither do IBirds may believe at a distanceYou wear a grin and keep perfectly stillDriven away with persistenceI wonder if they have wondered or will ever wonderEver wonderFarmer Jim hums when he's all aloneHe may imagine you heard and he knewYou wouldn't hear what he might have knownI wonder whether he wonders if you ever wonderEver wonderOh,ScarecrowMaybe the wind knowsWhether you wonderWho's calling your nameScarecrowMaybe the wind knowsWhether you wonderIf you are to blameMother Earth's love whispered to me (and it wasn't her fault)Real is a feeling and feeling is realAll of you are flowing through meBut you wouldn't know how to fathom or feelWhen the wind blowsThe wind knowsThe wind knowsOh,ScarecrowMaybe the wind knowsWhether you wonderWho's calling your nameShame how nobody knows youOnly who wonders if you are to blameSaving the grain of your golden domainWithout even reasoning whyThe crows seem to know where you need them to goIgniting a spark in their minds so they circle and flyFlyYou hang around for a livingBlown in the wind like a pinned butterflyMonarch of ever forgivingSome of us wonder if you want to dieWould you want to die?How I wonderEver wonder(The wind knows)

i sometimes listen to that song when you come back to haunt my thoughts.because yes, i still do think about you.if you ever read this, i want you to know that i don't hate you. and that i'm sorry, in a way. i also want to thank you for all the good memories. i hope i've left something good in your heart despite all the bad.

Never thought about it that way, but now there's another level on which to appreciate this song!

this feels incredibly reminiscent of classic Pink Floyd. huh.

It seems to me like a criticism of how so many claim to know god even though they don't know who he is. That's my conclusion after reading the lyrics.

The Starting Mark

This song makes me sad. It makes me sad the lone scarecrow waving in the wind, with that haunting smile, who controls the crows, who keeps perfectly still, who sees the world go by, the mysterious scarecrow who hangs there with watching eyes that leave people dumbfounded.

Interesting theory, mind explaining it? I think it's about a scarecrow, and it's an attempt at putting emotion and depth into a object.

I honestly think it's about god, but that's the best part. It could be about a lot of things, it's up to you to interpret it. This band is underrated as fuck. They need so much more attention, honestly...

One of my favorite Tally Hall songs. For a while, I couldn't listen to this without getting extremely depressed, because at the time I felt like the scarecrow in the song... empty and not real. It's amazing how Tally Hall's songs can be about something as simple as a scarecrow and yet hit home emotionally. The music itself is so interesting and wonderful.
