I relate a lot to this song, I was in an asylum for two months, I felt horrible. Thank God for Emilie, her creepy singing, her book and how she makes mental illnesses look like something not that bad have helped me a lot. I don't believe in mental illnesses, I think the "crazy" people just have different minds, but in this society being different is unacceptable. Asylums are the worst, as a child I thought it would be different, a haunted home for psycho killers, ghosts and a lot of mad friends. But it isn't like that, the doctors are always watching you, you can't say your opinion, you are a poor little girl and they think you're crying because the voices in your head are telling you bad things but you're crying because their voices, the living, "good" and "intelligent" doctors' voices are the ones who are telling you bad things, and no one notices. They don't lock you up in an abandoned place with other mad people to talk to and just go away, they are always by your side, you can't move, you can't talk, you have to do your best acting or you will be in hell during more days. It is totally disgusting. When I was back in my house, I felt alone. I stopped taking the pills when nobody noticed and I started searching stuff I liked on the internet, then I found her. I love this song, I love all the hate she puts in this to the doctors, it's not like hearing them again, but just hearing the same words, in a better and lovely voice, if you were locked you can tell by this that she doesn't mean what she is saying "i will hurt you and do horrible things to you, this is how scary i sound", that she means "they hurted me, they did horrible things, and this is how ridiculous they sound, remember that people? they deserve the worst". That's why this song helps that much. I love you Emilie, you're the fucking queen.

I see this song as being the bigger social authority figure telling a lesser figure that there's something wrong with them because they're not following the rules, and perhaps their behaviour is unsavoury to the larger authority figure. This song isn't necessarily about the government and whatnot. Emilie could have easily been misunderstood in her past. I relate this song to myself in a slightly different way, however. My father isn't the most sane of people, and I've realised that as I grew older, but he would always say that there is something wrong with me, and I took it to heart when I was younger. I was always be insane, be too slobbish, be too evil and cruel, be too shy. I would always be a horrible person according to him, and it did leave quite the mark on my mind.

Are the majority of Emilie's songs about her life? I read a little about her and I feel like this song is about her taking birth control pills and still getting pregnant. Or it could be about her life in an asylum and she had to take pills...That's pretty deep. I really like Emilie.

I really understand this song, even though I was never locked up in a psychiatric hospital. The repetition at the ending is how many times someone has heard it, over and over and over again, it's engrained inside your head and you can hear it all the time when you see the pills. Also, if someone is locked up for their own good, the pills can be the enemy, like the doctors and the therapy and the help. Denying it is the escape. That's my own opinion on the matter though.

If I understand this song correctly, it about abuse...I'm just not sure what type of abuse, weather it's of drugs or physical between a doctor and patient

Mh, nice... yet Emilie missed the final pill: It whipes out reality and humanity itselfe after a morbid sadist we understand as god took care u couldn´t and want ever have lived. Even with all helpless before time and death´s humanitys best would only doom you to vegetate to entertain it with a sick joke on ur dreams. So in a unreal hell, i wait for it´s descisscion. Ll it torture us down lifeless eternaly, end ourselfes n create a new life it want sacrifice to morbid sadism or have me enjoying myselfe as a morbid sadist?
