By singing in a parking lot, out doors or even in bathrooms and apartment hallways. You actually cause a ripple effect with your voice. It adds bravado!! Autotune is to erase other noises from the background, so the voice and music is heard more clearly. I'm not a singer by no means but when I do sometimes get the urge to belt a tune. Even I can hear the difference from when I sing in my room, to other places. Even going to a concert you can tell the difference. It's such a much better sound and better clarity, but that's my preference. I just find you can tell if the person can truly sing compared to being in a studio. Where perfection is a must but can easily be altered.
