This is what they call "the moment" … just pure, just wonderful, just so emotional combined with the perfect art of singing … I love her!

When I think about the performances of a certain aria in which, as they say in Italy, the singer must have had his vocal chords kissed by God just before going into it, I never take into consideration the gigantic singers of the past, like Kirsten Flagstad, whose recordings are too precarious for any fair judgement. Surely, God must have kissed Waltraud Meier's vochal chords on every single time she sang this aria. But then, when didn't He? This lady's will remain forever one of the greatest voices ever heard on planet Earth. As simple as that. In my opinion (just that, please!!), since the invention of stereo, "Liebestod" has had four renditions in which it's obvious that God had something to do with it: by Waltraud Meier, Birgit Nilsson, Jessye Norman and Shirley Verrett. With all due respect to those who disagree, the rest is the rest.

I agree people want to express but there's often in all theatres a fucker that shouts out "Brava or Bravo",....cutting with their voices the whole hall and breaking the charm. As if they have to make it clear to all people around that he acctually liked it,.......is a disgrace.
