I have to weigh-in on this track by my home girl Syleena Johnson, because this is one of my all time favorite jams by Ms. Alicia Myers. SJ is a powerhouse vocalist no doubt about it, vocally this track is sound, but I don't care for the musical track. I wish the producer could have seen fit to have the musicians to bring it. The music is flat and does not compliment Ms. Johnson's vocals which messes with the feel of the song.

Not a bad 'remake!' She's VERY good, imo!!! I mean, Alicia Meyers and Chaka Khan have a similar vocal range, and back in the day (I know, 'cause I was around) FEW folks could tell the difference between the two, welll, we thought this was a Chaka tune!!! That's how AWESOME Mrs. Meyers is!!! Hmmm mm, I like Syleena on this track, but the original is simply UNTOUCHABLE, and that's no disrespect to Syleena. NO SINGER TODAY can rock this, save for Alicia, Chaka, Rachelle Ferrel, and Jill Scott!

I have no problem with Syleena's vocals on this song. It's the music that erks me. It sounds too manufactured and not organic. Her vocals are top notch 120% but you aren't supposed to use anything other than 100% live instrumentation on this song.
