Just one of Sweet's great B-sides which showed what sort of band they really were and what you could expect to hear from them if you went to see them in concert.

What a great song One of my Sweet favorites! Great guitar work by Andy Scott.

The Sweet weren't 'ahead' of their time. They were so IN their time. I mean you can't listen to 'Fox On The Run' and not think '70s' but they were damn great at it.

As far as I am aware, wasn't this their little knock at the Mecca ballrooms. They were frequently banned and had the power cut etc for their 'lewd' act, playing too loud, going on too late etc etc lol

If it was about Mohammed it would talk about killing people, starting wars and having sex with 6 year olds.

Haven't heard this in 40 years, still great! Imagine my surprise at finding this heavy-duty gem on the B-side of my "Little Willy" 45. I was10. My Mom freaked out, but she let me keep it. Thanks Mom!

This B-side was the most played recording from the Juke Box in our favourite burger bar back there in 73-74 .... Never liked Sweet in particular. maybe because they so very seldomly recorded and send out what they did best: The heavy stuff. Tis one lived up to the standards of the best in the 70ties. Respect.

They also hosted the original BBC Come Dancing shows, and sponsored the Miss World Beauty pageant - which was big news once upon a time

The Meccas were a string of nightclubs run by Mecca Group - who owned all sorts - earlier Locarno Ballrooms, and later Hard Rock Cafe. The big business side of the nightclub scene in the UK. The big wheel was Eric Morley- interestingly DJ Jimmy Savile made his name ( ! ) in his clubs. Many of the clubs were later rebadged as 'Tiffany's' - Rank bought them out in the 90s. Some of them are probably still clubs - others defiitley are Bingo halls
