Fun fact: in 1954, Louis Armstrong was the first black musician to tour Australia after a total ban on the touring of black musicians set in place in the 1920s was finally lifted by the federal government. Oh, and great song!

Colin Darensburg

Thank you for the video. My name is Colin Darensbourg and Joe is my relative. I am glad to see people still remember him so long after his passing. He was a talented musician who should be remembered!

Thankyou, tonysando! At 2:24 Joe Darensbourg uses a technique known as "slap-tonguing". There's a good instructional video about this on youtube from 'earspasm'.
