This is a lovely tune done most famously by the Carpenters, but first done on the Joe Cocker Mad Dogs and Englishmen album. Luther Vandross did an amazing cover as well.
I am trying out for the first time the Synthogy Ivory II Italian Grand, which is just so powerful and responsive. Love it! I am using the Trilian Fretless Jaco bass. I created a lot of space in the piano to give the bass a chance to work in between the notes. With the piano, I try to simplify to get to the emotional center of the song. I hope you enjoy.

I see an intermediate option that would avoid the need to integrate the effects into Synthogy products. Synthogy could work with a few of the leading effects products, and a few of the best free ones, to create effects preset libraries that perfectly augment sounds in Synthogy products and these could be released for free. This would be win win, we get better quality piano sounds, more people like and buy Synthogy products, and more people buy effects, and use them easily, with tailored presets.12 years ago

I appreciate the fact that higher end plugins buillt into Synthogy products may increase latency, processor utilisation etc, but we could have switches to optimise the audio for - real time playing, and highest quality for non real time rendering/freezing. As they have collaborated with Cantabile rather than create a stand alone host, I'm sure many good VST effects producers would be willing to collaborate with Synthogy, similarly. & Both parties would benefit. This "explains" the difference I hear in your uploads to Youtube. Having reconfirmed my hypothesis that realistic audio is also about "air", I recognise that Synthogy should, by default, as in a keyboard workstation or digital piano, where the effects of a patch are built in, provide hyperrealistic piano patches based on a much better set of built in plugins avoiding the need for the further expense and effort of external plugins. This is what we paid for when we bought Ivory. Top quality sound!12 years ago

When you indicate that you created a lot of space, is this using synthogy Ivory's features and inbuilt reverb functionality or some external plug-in/reverb effect? Your pianos sound probably the most interesting, and it's not just becaues you are a fantastic player, you really know how to make these instruments sound real, placing them in the right "envelope", more so than the demos on Synthogy's site. You really inspire me to play, when I have the time off work12 years ago
