Sunstroke - Chad & Jeremy [London, England] - 1968 - "AMG Pick. A nice British Psychedelic Indian sounding song with soft beautiful vocal harmony. Too bad they were one year late on this GEM or they might have gotten some accolades. The only true Psychedelic song on this CD." - The Ark (Sundazed)-2006.

Sitting in the sun

Looking back to the shade

Wondering whether it's real

Or just a transition I've made

(Transition I've made)

Sweat from a burning brow

Textured, tripled tiles

Orange, lemon, lime growing groves

Bring on half knowing smiles

(Half knowing smiles)

Soft Pop-Psychedelic interlude.

Has the heat gone to my head?

Is the sky really so blue?

I'm looking straight at the sun

I want to believe it's true

(Believe me I do)

It's a change from the usual run

To sit and turn brown in the sun

But if you're exposed too long

Do you still consider it fun?

How come THE ARK is deleted on my previous post? I don't understand how or why that happened - but, then again, I am not very computer savvy.

the second track on their remarkable masterpiece THE ARK a gleaming jewel among jewels of all sixties albums by anyone!! It was great seeing you both again last night and good conversation, food, and grog afterwards! Take good care of yourself Chad and feel better soon. I'll be in touch. Lenny

Their early 3 or 4 LP's are easy listening folk sounding. "Distant Shores" is a slightly transitional LP. "Of cabbages And Kings" and "The Ark" are great stylish psychedelia LP's both produced by Gary Usher.

this song and the next track on the album, "the Ark", is an incredible back-to-back listening experience. One of the great lost classics, up there with Begin. Fantastic production by Gary Usher as well.

The Ark is one of the best kept secrets of the 60's. This should be amongst the classics of the era. Thanks to the dopes at Columbia Records this was never allowed to happen.

Serendipity - I was listening to Pipe Dream when I surfed across this :) There's a collection of good tracks on The Ark - and C & J are still going strong fourty years on!

Just to let you know I always import all my songs into iTunes at 320kbps with VBR set at Highest Quality guaranteed to be the BEST you can hear in the MP3 format. With the price of hard drives being so low now why not import them at their BEST? Yes I'm talking to my "golden--eared" friends that read Stereophile magazine. :-)

My first video upload to youtube. I was tired of not finding some GEMS that I bought: Sunstroke - Chad & Jeremy - 1968 - "AMG Pick. The only true Psychedelic song on this CD." - The Ark (Sundazed)-2006.
