This is true emo music. I hate how the entire artistic expression of this genre has been wrongly branded these days. The new wave of "emo" is so false. They've basically stolen the name and labelled it to shit bands like MCR, The Used and so on.

I never even heard of this band till many years after this album. so don't think that the stuff on the radio was any better then. you are making a false equivalence comparing this to lady gaga. your point would be valid only if this were a Britney spears video that you loved. stuff on the radio has always been overproduced, in any decade. if anything, there is more good music coming out now that is more available to more people than ever before. you just need to stop listening to the radio.
