Video from "13 Years of Celtic Wartunes" (2008)
Original track from "Caledonia" (2006)
This is an excellent DVD. Even though some of it is available online, there's a lot that isn't. If you enjoy this then I highly recommend you get it! Extreme value for money with lots of great live footage and interviews.
- Description -
The big summer festivals in Europe are always quite an event for every band playing and every person attending. Wacken Open Air in Germany is definitely no exception as it is proudly known as one of the biggest metal festivals in the world.
This rings even more true to SuidAkrA because we have had the honour to perform at Wacken four times since 1998. 2007 was quite extraordinary since we were, for the first time, invited to play on one of the two main stages. To commemorate this milestone, we also brought our bagpipe player, Axel, with us to the stage.
Although we were given the opening slot to start off the festivities at 11am on Friday morning (which is fuckin' early for any metalhead, especially at a festival), tons of fans showed up from the beginning and the crowd got progressively larger as the set went on.
Fortunately, our whole event was captured on film. So enough of the talk...enjoy the SuidAkrA - Live at Wacken Open Air 2007 DVD!

- Lyrics -
Days are so dark I can't see it dawning
I can't feel my hands anymore
I see the night and preach them courage
Even when hope is in vain
There's no choice, for strength and honour
Is accompanied by pain
Hunt them down
Back on to the shore
Hunt them down
Where deep waters roar
The human blade of equation will
Divide the fire from the smoke
History will tell who prevailed
Since ever blood sealed the times of old
I call on Taranaich
For to give us strength
The wind blows cold
When night descends
Predicting war
The night unfolds
Fires of marching men
Like an open scar
See the fires burn
Here at Forth-Clyde
Crawling forward
Oh at Forth-Clyde
There in the darkness
At the edge of the world
In the shadow of the empire
The wind blows cold
Calling the words
"Cohorts - Regather..."
