Poor Kristen Hall, she got shafted by the band and industry. Despite what Nettles and Bush contend, it's easy enough to buy into the speculation that Hall was forced out due to the potential damage she could do the the band's image (i.e., her sexual preference, obesity). The country music fan base has a reputation - deserved or not - for being more conservative than other genres and I'm quite sure that there was talk at the top of the record company about that. I love Sugarland and I get that business is business, but it's hard not to feel some sympathy for Hall, who is by all accounts a very good singer/songwriter.
