Great to see Dave Culross again behind the Suffocation drumkit, now they just need DOUG CERRITO back and you have albums like Despise The Sun and the first three albums!!!

Now that Dallas Toller-Wade and Devin Towsend have embraced baldness, Terrence might have the best skullet in metal currently.

Suffocation brings back so many memories from being 16 when Effigy came out. When I first heard the album I couldn't believe what I heard...Amazing band that has stood the test of time!

How much crack do you have to smoke to think this is as good as Michael Smith ?

Thank Ydu GARGD

I always get chills when I hear people like Frank have such nice voices, and then they switch to such purely destructive harsh vocals, it's wonderful.

The slower parts in death metal are like the same as the 'drop' in dubstep and other musics. They slow it down to get it into a tempo for the mosh pit. You will find many death metal songs do this, they will will pull a change of tempo and syncopation some point in the middle and this is where the mosh pit goes bonkers. You may be either too old or too young to have experienced this music when it debuted.

this ain't hard rock me man, neither speed metal...this is death metal and its meant to be this way. those are of the most classic bands out there and they just kick ass! tons and tons of death metal singers were inspired by Frank's voice and he pioneered this specific type of vocals together with other bands in the early 90s late 80s.

Are you fucking kidding me! What the fuck is this shit? I'm a hardcore rocker but this is ridiculous. I don't see the value or musicality in playing a song at Mach one for 30 or 45 secs and then taking a break and catching your breath and then going Mach 2 for another 45 secs or a minute and half and the whole fuckin time the singers sounds like he's trying to cough up a fur ball. You call this shit music? Speed Metal my ass! This is garbage!

I remember being totally blown away when I bought this album. That same feeling doesn't happen much anymore for me. Suffocation rules.
