Loving the 'replace Savoir Faire with...something' TBH 3mins of silence would have been preferable to 'she live in a house she stupid as a mouse'. Funny thing is, I have a magazine (Uncut or Q) somewhere from the Headmusic release with Brett on the cover with the quote "No drugs, or lots of drugs". When in fact he has admitted since that that period was one of the worst of his life, he was hooked on heroine. It showed in a lot of the music on that album.

Apparently I've not heard so many b-sides! I have Sci-Fi Lullabies, but not heard this. Thanks.

Indeed, they made some quite questionable decisions there and you're right to point to those tracks from New Morning; the b-sides and other stuff from that time point to an entirely different album that could have been. A band as prolific as Suede could have done better with such an array of choices really.

totally. replace elephant man with this, replace union jack with heroin, replace savoir faire with...something. They really shot themselves in the feet the last 2 albums with poor track choices. Can you imagine how much better a new morning would have been with simon, cheap, attitude, golden gun, maybe oxygen? pair those up with obsessions lost in tv, untitled, and oceans, and you've got 95% of a great album. Slip in like 2 more songs and you're set.

Another top B-Side from a very overlooked era of Suede, surely to god this would have been better than Elephant Man on Head Music

I had never heard this cut before and wow, it is really great. One of the more honest and direct lyrics Brett has ever wrote, and it flat our rocks! Another in an endless line od B-side gems from this terrific band.
