I met Brad's mom last year when I was overdosing on meth and a bunch of drugs, when I was still in my addiction. She was a nurse at the hospital. I didnt know who she was until she came up to me while i had calmed down and looked me straight in the eye, said "you're too young for this, you have your entire life ahead of you, please dont do this to yourself. My son died of a drug overdose years ago..." I was silent. She asked, " do you know the band sublime?" I nodded, said it was one of my all time favorite bands. She replied, her eyes getting glossy....."Bradley was my son. Even if you dont want to do this for yourself, do it for Brad." my eyes went huge. I couldn't believe it. But it WAS her. She looked exactly like him. We both immediately started crying and I hugged her so tight I didnt want to let go. It was the day after that I checked into rehab and am now clean and sober to this day. coming up on a year. I thank Bradley and his amazing loving mother for giving me the courage to change my life.
