Petals falling from the engine. Can you see the number? Can you trace the name?Sifting through you trash.A piece of ancient history.A ballad of an old one.Nothing wrong with you. What a numb excuse.Nothing quite so tameAs when you’re finally under.A vengeful darling.Subbing for Eden. And I consume the raging fireAnd I can feel the depths of the ocean. And I become consumed by desire. And I swear I thought of you.Tumbler.Roll the dice and counter.Strikes a fervent market.Nowhere to complain.Folder reference cache.Zeros, ones and tildes.Cracking velvet nerves.Holes start to come unglued.Nails start getting chewed.Legs are getting bent.Maybe finally understand why you’re out hereSubbing for Eden.A slave to desire.Slam breaks on the soul.Swerved and missed by a hair.

I'm still willing to compromise on some vital issues...I'm not an arsehole all the time and sometimes I'm also very...submissive...

It sounds more like "I lost my bed" than "I lost my badge". But it also sounds like "I lost my path", and that makes more sense in the song.

I think it is, "I lost my bear", BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY DAMN SENSE! NOTHING MAKES SENSE!

I still owe it to Ryan Lynch of Dominant Legs for introducing me to this band after Blue Screen Life. Totally love it.

I don't think so, there is no sharp T sound. It sounds more like I-los-mabeeeelll

Or perhaps it's "I lost Tibet," basically being the artist's way of expressing his pain and deep sympathy over the always lingering struggles of the poor Tibetan folk, past and present, ever since part of the Chinese imperialist regime converged on them.

@VIsupIV I've been wondering that since I first heard the song. But I would agree with your thought about it too, I think 'I lost a bet' would be the only thing I can think of that he's saying, but like you said, there's a strong feeling that it isn't the right phrase. :(

What does he say at the very beginning? It sounds like he is saying "I lost a bet" but I have a strong feeling that is incorrect.
