Styx was one of the bands that made me want to learn music and from about 10 yrs. old I have played bass and sang. Always follow the music.

I must admit, I've always thought of Styx as too poppy, almost a Kansas wannabe. Maybe it got so much airplay I tuned it out. I'm listening to this now and realizing how cool this is. It's actually progish. I love discovering great stuff I used to put down.

A hit song with two synth solos, and sections in 7/4 meter. Would any pop/rock musician or band today even attempt such a thing?

I try to give this kind of advice when I run across someone who's depressed. All too often Its like I'm giving myself this advice. Great song though, always has been & always will be!
