Everyone's bitchin' 'bout DD not being in STYX anymore. After a few decades things get old for some people, DD moved on to other things, get over it. Some people don't stop to think but T Shaw isn't an original member of the band, he replaced another guitar player in the middle of the ''Equinox'' tour. TS was playing bowlin' ally's at the time, 9 months later, he's in the studio recording ''Crystal Ball'' LP, the rest is history. TS is what gave Styx a heartbeat all along. THIS IS STYX. And I'll still say, as a life long STYX fan, some of TS's BEST WORK is with the Damn Yankees. ''Someone to Believe'' is probably the greatest song ever to come from his mind/talent.

Seeing Styx and Dennis on his own is like visiting your parents after a divorce, you can't change the situation and just try your best to deal with it (live through that stuff even as an adult) That said I belive Larry is a much beeter artist on the keyboards...BUT.. to me Dennis will always be the voice of Styx on certain songs and when I hear JY or Larry try to sing a DDY part it make me crings....but they still sound great on songs where Dennis wasn't lead vocals etc,I like them both ;)

A lot of the guys upfront get a lot pats on the back and rightfully so, but kudos to Todd Suckerman. He is one of the best drummers in the business!! Good tune!!!

As someone who saw this group in 99 and many times since, if you hate Styx because of the DD situation (personally tired of the whining), you cheat your self out of one of the best live shows out there today. Larry is one hell of a keyboard player, singer, and entertainer. So for those who choose to bitch about the DD situation, stay home, pout, and wallow in your own self imposed misery. The rest of us will go to the shows and rock out with a band that is still rockin the house. That is all.

Celebrate Tommy's legendary & gifted voice & ability to write songs that are hits, even at a time when his genre may not be in favor.

It is Styx. Tommy, JY, and Chuck is there. Chuck Panazzo is still in the band. He just doesn't perform with them on every song, because he is seriously sick. The other Panazzo brother passed away in the 90's from alcohol abuse. And Dennis was making Styx into a boring acting band. And he chose to leave. People say he was kicked out, wrong. he left. Why does everyone have a problem with Styx? They are having fun, so whats wrong with that? They are doing what they do best.

@md65000 Listen again- Gowan is doing the high parts. And they are not lame. Watch the rest of the concert. Or don't write about what you don't understand.

Something's wrong here. Tommy is singing Jack's part but I don't see anyone singing Tommy's part -- even though you can hear Tommy singing it. Is Styx so lame now that they have to use a karaoke background to pull this song off?

@faithlessaaa Totally agree with you. Dennis is not there. The Panazzo brothers are not there. It is Tommy, JY, and three others who have nothing to do with the REAL Styx. Dennis WAS Styx.

Not bad, but nothing beats the blending harmonies of Tommy Shaw & Jack Blades (w/ a little Michael Cartelone thrown in too) plus the dive-bombing guitar of The Nuge! Still, a huge treat I'm sure for the crowd getting to see Tommy do this one.
