A lot of attention has been given to the Chicago metal scene these recent years and Sanford Parker has played a large part in its revival. Musician, producer, and engineer Parker has assisted in the creation of critically-acclaimed albums since he moved his hobby of home-recordings into the studio. From the stand-out debut EP from Pelican (2001) to the return of progressive doomsayers Rwake (2011), Parker has been bringing to the table an organic mix of raw power and layered atmospheres.
