These two bands have so much in common! Both have heart and soul and just Freakin' ROCK!

After the drummer finally got started, it looked like Tom Sholz was thinking WTF?

@unlikeanyotherhuman Actually you are wrong and right. He is not trying to play the verse the way the original song is played. This is the new version by Stryper. It's supposed to have more energy and for this reason he is playing the snare on 1, 2, 3, & 4 instead of just 2 & 4.

I was at that Texxas Jam and Boston in no way put the crowd to sleep...they rocked! Get your facts straight and don't try to put your opinion on the rest of us that loved the concert! RIP Brad

Indeed...Michael is the best that music can offer presently. I'm ready to cut off my ears if they ever let the American Idol guy sing in Boston. Brad remains one of my favorite lead singers of ANY rock band.

Stryper is darn good, saw them last night at House of Blues; they've still got it. Saw Boston back in '87 at Texxas Jam and they put the place to sleep by playing the entire Third Stage album in album order. They were great on the hits, but ugh.

Jeez Louise he is so off key with his singing.

Thank you. Although, if you read my comment carefully, I am referring to those who have judged Michael Sweet as a Christian, not as a musician. You are looking for things that just are not present. The Bible reads, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". I hope this sheds some light on the situation. Go in peace, brother!

As a true Boston fan and a classic rock purist I miss Brad but cannot overlook Michael Sweet's vocal presence. He sings Boston music well enough to appease Tom. I'm glad to see such great rock songs in Mike's capable hands (and vocal cords). ROCK ON, BOSTON! (We miss you, Brad.)

I'm a purist here. The only way to play this song is with Brad Delp, Tom Scholtz and Barry Goudreau. Those guys are essential to this song.

Robert, just pounding out the drums in the background. And Oz totally headbanging off to the side. That is awesome.
