And I was totally wrong with the Bela Lugosi fact (memo to self: Don't get pissed and post)...Apparently, they are the eyes of Conrad Veidt's character 'Cesare' in Robert Weine's 1920 German Expressionist classic, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari... So that's me put in my place then ;-)
