All bands use math to make music, it is essential in understanding rhythm and structure. Even rappers use math to create the flow of their rhymes and drop interesting beats. Complex mathematical rules have been developed over the past thousand years to explain varies musical elements and their relationships with each other. Tool uses the understanding developed in the 50s-60s. Its an adaptation of long standing musical equations. But mathematicians don't make musicians. Thats where Art comes in

@rsslayersoflegends Tool as well as many other bands Like Mudvayne Use Math To make music. Math is Amazing when written into music. Without Math we would be lost. But that is why It sounds amazing LOve Tool!

I, for one, am an "Internet thief" I listen to music in this page and download it from the Internet. But hell, I spent a few euros on my Lateralus and 10,000 days copies and . I play them every two or three days. Still feels awesome. Searching salival and AEnima now.

@Theqytagrenater This was one of Alex Greys independant pieces. It wasn't for an album. Go to AlexGrey.Com and check out his amazing work.

@xxxxKRONOSxxxx I've listened to a "crapload" of other bands covered by the String Quartet, and I have to say that Tool songs sound the best. That is my humble, yet I know biased opinion.

@rsjokes: While I love Tool, that's not true. Anyone who likes a band would say the same thing if these guys did that bands songs. And really, a crapload of bands have been covered like this.
