One of the rare times where the live version is better than the original. As I understand it, this is because this version has "his" band playing on it whereas the original version had a bunch of studio musicians playing on it that the record company had basically forced on him because they felt that his own guys weren't "good enough" for the record. (The original version was recorded back before he had enough clout to call his own shots.) Like the other poster said, that guitar solo is awesome!

You know ... I love Billy, but this is one of his few songs that earned a general 'meh' when I heard it at first. And yet, here I am a year or two later, looking it up on YouTube and losing myself completely in this song. I love Billy Joel so bloody much.
