I believe this song was written about the battle of Colloden when the Scottish army suffered a huge defeat by the English. This may have been in the 18th century not long before the French & Indian War. It's ashame that mine is the only comments. great group hugely overlooked. Only a few discjockeys back on the old WNEW played them, but when they did they would play an entire side of some of the albums. This was before CDs & cassettes in cars.
