'Stone The Crows!', shouted legendary manager Peter Grant, when he first heard this splendid young Scottish band roaring into action. Although it was the Londoner's favourite Cockney expression, he wasn't a man to be easily impressed. After all, he was the manager of Led Zeppelin, the most successful heavy rock band in history. Yet there was something earthy and appealing about the Crows that excited his enthusiasm and support.

One of my all time favourites.So many great all time classics of their time. Goodtime Girl ,Sunset Cowboy,Blind man, Penicillin Blues. Janice Joplin had a great following but I always thought that Maggie Bell was a better singer. The whole band were in a class of their own. A1 Thanks for posting.10 years ago

This May saw the 40th anniversary of the death of Guitarist Les Harvey ( brother of Alex) who was electrocuted on stage by touching an unearthed microphone at the fated age of 27. The solo at 2.55 is an example of how great a guitarist he was and could have become. The song also features the fine voices of the late Jimmy Dewer and Maggie Bell. A very underrated band with a great performance on this song.13 years ago

Great song from the finest band to come out of Glasgow featuring the late , great Jimmy Dewar on vocals and Maggie Bell . Jimmy went on to sing/play bass with the Robin Trower band and his voice was simply wonderful .Related Videos
