Engineer Phill Brown's book "Are We Still Rolling?" has a great chapter about the recording of this song in late February of 1976. Highly recommended reading.

1977...working at MS records in Morton grove, Illinois. Madly in love w/the love of my life. Taking in as much O/T as they could give me. No furniture except for a beanbag chair left by the previous tenant. I did have a killer thick shag carpet though. Many a nights it was too late to be with my love. And this album, and this favorite track off of said album played many a cold dark Winter nights. a candle here and a candle there with all of the lights out...somehow it fit perfectly as th Winter days and nights passed by and turned into Spring. A truly cool experimental time in the history of modern rock and roll music. Thanks for the post.

Thank you for this. I used to listen to my brother's copy when I was very young and unfortunately, someone 'borrowed' his copy and never returned it. Lots of nice memories listening to it again... :)

Saw Go at the Roxy in the 80s. Lot of talent in a small stage. Oh where Oh where are the talent these days with cutting edge sounds and textures that transcends?

I am so p'd off that I loaned out the little blue booklet that came with this album out to a "friend" and never got it back. Anyone out there remember the book and the story behind this album?

Pat Thrall told me that after he recorded the guitar solo, Steve Winwood was in the control room jumping up and down ecstatically on playback.
