Never found out why all the animals became shitty chrome 3D renderings of themselves...We never complained though because they made us good money when we'd force them into the transformer door and sell their parts to the government people. Good times....

I thought I dreamed this...I saw a guy with a Mohawk walking down the street the other day and all of a sudden a Proustian memory was triggered...bringing with it a vivid image of this video, a video I only saw once when I was a child, but it left an indelible impression on me...possibly due to it`s utter stupidity...but a vivid memory nonetheless. How many memories from our youth can we TRULY recollect anyway? These are the things that make the mind so mysterious. Why is this such a vivid memory from my childhood? Why this video?

Have always LOVED the song. But can anyone out there even venture a theory as to how in the world one is to understand or interpret this video -- in a way that approaches coherency? Could it possibly be a way of portraying how in the wake of a heartbreaking divorce one is left feeling like the world no longer makes sense? Life becomes an upside down, crazy sort of existence? Just a wild guess.

This is a brilliantly TRUE song. As a father with a good relationship with my kids and my ex-wife I can say this song rang true from the first time I heard it. It captures the heartache and the meloncholy a father can have when he no longer lives with his children, but at the same time the whole song is about the healing journey that you go through despite not having hat you want the most. This part of lyric to me is the bit that gets my tearful every time:"The park is full of Sunday fathers and melted ice cream We try to do the best within the given time A kid should be with his mother Everybody knows that What can a father do but baby-sit sometimes?"

My kids and I were in this video. It was filmed in B.C. Canada and we had a blast filming for 2 days. Sting was very kind to the children. Looking back on this video now though it does look a little strange. LOL But a memory we will soon never forget.
