Sting - Fields of gold lyrics :

You'll remember me when the west wind moves

Upon the fields of barley

You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky

As we walk in fields of gold

So she took her love for to gaze awhile

Upon the fields of barley

In his arms she fell as her hair came down

Among the fields of gold

Will you stay with me, will you be my love

Among the fields of barley?

We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky

As we lie in fields of gold

See the west wind move like a lover so

Upon the fields of barley

Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth

Among the fields of gold

I never made promises lightly

And there have been some that I've broken

But I swear in the days still left

We'll walk in fields of gold

We'll walk in fields of gold

Many years have passed since those summer days

Among the fields of barley

See the children run as the sun goes down

Among the fields of gold

You'll remember me when the west wind moves

Upon the fields of barley

You can tell the sun in his jealous sky

When we walked in fields of gold

When we walked in fields of gold

When we walked in fields of gold

This beautiful song reminds me of my childhood when I was young sitting on a hill in autumn and thinking about a poet who said something like " The gold of autumn, who can catch it" We all have memories like this that were so transitory .

Sting did not write the music, only the lyrics. A very good friend of mine dropped off the instrumental demo of this song at Sting's record label. A couple years later, Sting released it with his own lyrics. Stolen. No credit given to the actual writer of the melody/ chord progression.

Reminds me of growing up in the 90s and early 2000s. A local jazz station was on the radio but not anymore. And this was on. Sets the mood for a breezy walk on the beach after eating in an outside restaurant and walking along the boardwalk, driving with the windows down on highway with the beach breezes. So peaceful.

IT WOULD BE HYSTERICAL, IF IT WEREN'T SO TRUE, THAT "ACTUAL LOVE" DOES NOT EXIST, ON EARTH, AND ESPECIALLY IN HEAVEN, SO FAR. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________IN PLACE OF LOVE, EVIL IS THE RULE, EVERYWHERE, AND SUFFERING, THE GREATEST CREATED EVIL, THIS SIDE OF BLAMING THE VICTIMS, AS ALL RELIGION (DECEPTION) DOES._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________= ABSOLUTE PROVEN FACTS (ABOVE).
