the search for perfection is all very well but to look for heaven is to live here in hell. Classic.

What a great song and brilliant delivery! Sting wouldn't get so much flak if he kept his concerns to himself. Then again, do you want a brainless, painted ar5E (Cheryl Cole) or intelligent songs? It still gets me after almost 30 years.

When this album came out there was a Theatre movie with Sting, the band and Trudy his wife in this awesome house (castle maybe). Went to see it and we were the only people there. Sang along with all the songs and nobody cared. It is one of those albums that all the songs are great. Sting - another teacher gone good!

"Roses have thorns, and shining waters, mud. And cancer lurks deep in the sweetest bud. Clouds and eclipses stain the moon and the sun. And history reeks of the wrongs we have done." ~S.

I went to see him live a fortnight ago and I thought many of his songs had a strong jazz influence.
