This right here show how Versatile Stevie Wonder is at doing other genres of music...This is why I respect and admire artists like this, because they can go in and out of different genres and still bring with them apart of themselves...STEVIE is the best...GREAT Harmonica Solo...SWINGIN HARD...

@mrinnervisionz True, you didn't specifically compare them. But, about a video of Stevie, you said you idolize them both, which suggests parity. SW stands alone in pop for the harmonic sophistication of many of his songs. Plus the guy can play jazz, which is a whole other thing. RJ was good at what he did, which was play bass & write some intricate poppy funk, which for the most part, never got past high school in terms of lyrical content.

Rick James & El DeBarge have always been underrated as singers,songwriters,multi-instrumentalist,producers & arrangers. Rick James was badass,& he never got the respect that he so richly deserved.

I idolize Stevie Wonder & Rick James 4ever! I don't think this was Stevie's best performance in my opinion,for some reason Stevie & the band was'nt gellin. Stevie Wonder @ 80% is better than most of these so called artist of 2day @ 100%. Stevie wonder=G.O.A.T.
