Wonder marries '70's deep-bassed funk with the doo-wop popular in his youth. I hear a bit of Marvin Gaye's "Stubborn Kind of Fellow."

It kind of blows my mind that he's actually blind. None of his music would lead me to believe he couldn't see. He's a freaking genius, and his music is a tremendous gift to humanity.

Steve Wonder is a music genius AND a truth teller. He sees VERY clearly. I've known this for some time. "Ebony Eyes" is a wonderful tribute to Black Womanhood and it makes me very very happy to be in the World with him...

am i the only one that notices the sheer creativity in this song, the use of double tracking, creative panning, talk-box, wide stereo field, i'm telling you this song has things that make my mind wonder, the album was just TOO MUCH and even today i prefer this to modern day music (not saying its bad, just not my cup of tea tbh lool)

An astonishing song so full of happiness and joy. Always makes me think of my wonderful daughter, Severine, who I danced with while holding her high in my arms, singing so loud one hot summers day, holding her in my arms when she was only four! She laughed and laughed and laughed, and listened so carefully to me singing those lines so loud!
