@gmandofgod Um dude, I hope U are not trying 2 get me into a debate about James Brown vs Rick James, because I would never disrespect either 1 of those musical geniuses! James Brown is the father of Funk, everybody that know music will admit 2 that! Soul Brother #1 changed the whole game, everybody who does funk music must bow down 2 The Godfather! Then Sly & The Family Stone, then George Clinton. When Rick James arrvd on the scene,Rick took funk 2 whole new level. Bootsy & Rick jammed with JB.

@mrinnervisionz No, actually, when it comes to James Bropwn, he is more than just the Godfather of Soul. He is also, Mr. Dynamite, Soul Broither No. 1, the King of Soul, the King of Funk, the Original Disco Man, the Ruler of Rhythm and Blues, the Hardest Working Man in Show Business, the World's Greatest Entertainer, the Amazing Mr. Please Please Please Himself and the Minister of New New Suoer Heavy Funk!! James Brown was making Funk hits some ten years before anybody new Rick James existed,

@mrinnervisionz So if Rick James is the King of Funk, what does that make James Brown-- the Lord of Funk?

mrinnervisionz

@gmandofgod The only thing that Rick James have to do with this is, I idolize & call only 2 people, to have ever walk this Earth my heroes & idols. #1 Stevie Wonder #2 Rick James. I know that Rick did not write or play on this song, but I was referring as to how funky Stevie was in this performance, & how proud the King of Funk(Rick James) must have been, once he heard & saw it.
