Whoever created the score for this movie is just a genius. This is one of those songs that touches your heart in the scene where Damone is looking for his half of the money for the surgery. A lot of people just immediately hate Damone for what he does, but this song in this scene tells you theres more than that. Damone acts really cool throughout, but when it comes down it and this song is playing, nobody is there for him when hes calling each person asking for the money owed to him. Its just a brilliant song selection because you feel for Damone. The song is sad, and hes really sad on the inside, though you wouldnt know from his cockiness.

So why couldn't Dimone have taken Stacey to the clinic a few days later once he got the money together? Couldn't he have called her and said he needed a few days to get the cash? She had to go the next day and only then? Never made sense but Dimone was a dick for pulling the no show/no call routine.

I've watched this movie a bunch since it came out. We all know it's a classic, but what I'm confused and blown away with at the same time is how did I NOT notice this song before, it was as if I was as stupid as Spocolli for never recognizing it over 20yrs ago. When basically hearing it for the first time yesterday, I was blown away and excited that I just found a hidden gem that has been in front of me half my life. Thank you Stevie and thank you Cameron Crowe.

The scene which uses this song are perfectly mated. Guy are not supposed to take sex and not give love in return. Girls are not supposed to be naïve and fall for false promises. Every one is in a rush to grow up. She gets pregnant, he runs like a dog because he couldn't give a damn about her. This plays out over and over and over.
