This is a Trouble In Shangri-La outtake. It is very dark. "They were afraid of her...She had no heart."

Honestly I have to wonder why this song isn't better known. My all time favorite Stevie song is Beauty and the Beast. This is my second.

I love this deep, haunting song. This is pure Stevie at her best. I keep saying that she is one of the greatest storytellers and poets we have come to love for all these decades. I too listen to the lyrics...she always has a deep meaning for every song she writes and I can usually relate that to something in my own life. Just as "Rumors" was all true songs about the band. If anyone can get a hold of a copy of the book Mic Fleetwood wrote years ago....around 1989.....read it! It's really awesome and gives true insight to these 5 great people. Thanks for sharing the upload! ♡ Rock on ancient Queen! !

I saw someone post that this is about a story by Oscar Wilde called The birthday of infanta. I do remember reading along time ago that Stevie likes Oscar Wilde. I googled it and printed it out and read it, this song makes a lot of sense once you have read this

@MICHELE1J- unlike the great unwashed (i.e.- you) some of us pay attention to the words, we listen for the sub-lyrics, we seek the spirit of what artists like Our Stevie are trying to say. I await your derision, as I fear the Craft of Our White Witch eludes your understanding, and for that you truly have my pity.

@WeirdGirlCyndi she is one of the few that have enough talent to write her own songs and put real feeling and power in her songs!

At the risk of repeating myself, does anyone have a download of this ? Stevie's demos are so great. I wish she'd release a few albums of those.

Definitely a younger Stevie here. But fantastic song nonetheless. She is a poet and her lyrics make you THINK.
