Gold Dust Woman  came out right about the time that my naïve divorce hit me.  When I was partying myself to pieces , it was comforting to think that Stevie somehow seemed  to  understand  what was happening to me, through her music.  Strangest thing in the world ------ I felt absolutely NO emotion otherwise; not even  with  my "shrink,"  but Stevie Nix's songs could pull the very  emotions right out of me; if I needed to mourn and cry, then I'd cry;  if I needed to laugh, then I'd laugh; if I needed soul searching, then her music would put me in a quit mood to take stock and reflect on how I could solve my (considerable) problems.  I'm SERIOUS. I am INDEBTED to HER. Anyone who has had "First Term Psych," knows that someone going through a MAJOR life trauma, with no feelings or thoughts  about it  what so ever, is showing signs of a serious mental health disorder that could manifest in suicide, and physical symptoms such as ulcers, migraines, eczema, night terrors, panic attacks, etc.  Catherine H.

This is a Live Solo Performance & all the musicians & backup singers seen in this clip have supported Stevie throughout her solo career. Gold Dust is one of only a few songs that FM allowed Stevie to perform in those days.

i think in her prime during early Mac she had 1 of the greatest voices and even afterwards it may not be as powerful it just sounds beautiful nonetheless
