YES, ALL of my uploads have the same picture reel of photos I found on the Internet of Scotland. I DO realize that some of the songs are Scottish, some are Irish, and some are just folk songs, but I uploaded the songs for the ears!!! Who cares what the picture reel is? Just enjoy these great songs!

If you 'feel' Scots, you are Scots. We will always welcome you.A wee Scots Lad in Dunfermline (where Bruce is buried)

I do believe that the 'Mac' and 'Mc' distinctions stem from Scotland's reformation. The 'Mac' being mainly a Protestant representation and the 'Mc' Roman Catholic. At the time of the reformation in Scotland nothing was more important. Strange how things don't really change.

David Donaldson

Well, I will throw this into the mix. My last name is Donaldson, which is the same as Macdonald, While doing ancestral research, I have traced my family name back to the year 1622 where it also was Donaldson. However after I had my DNA tested through Clan Donald USA, I was only linked to one other Donaldson in the data base. Everyone else were Macdonalds, McDonalds, McDaniels, and McConnell. So hang in there, and as the one writer said, "Don't sweat it".
