Used to hear this when I was fourteen as it was that year I became interested in music. It seemed to fill some of the voids we all fell as teenagers. The song is simple and direct. One can easily imagine the blue eyed girl looking through a window.

Wow beautiful song, can't stop playing it! I din't belong to that music era, but for some reason I have always loved oldies....real singers, real music...not the type of music played on the radio nowadays....not real singers, they do get so much help from a computerized system...even worse the vulgarities they say....what is happening to this world?

1959...Imagine a smoooth song with great suprano back ups and violins, and there you'll also find me at 14 in full awe of such an "unsophisticated" product/sarc

Composed by Teddy Randazzo who wrote so very many great hits for Little Anthony & the Imperials. Teddy is all but forgotten as one of the most prolific writers of the 60's.

When I moved to a new neighborhood when I was 16 there was an "older man" (22) who was a hunk and used to call me pretty blue eyes. I was in love until he married someone else. Teenage love lol

This song takes me back to 1959 when I was a skinny little kid of 16. May 8th I'll be "70" and still listening to the oldies!

I'm very glad that my interest in this song, and my post on it about a year ago got such positive response. The quality of the material probably had much more to do with this than my modest comments. It's a fairly simple piece to play, only having about 5-6 chords that you have to worry about. But, it is how those 5-6 chords are put together that counts. If you wanted to merely sing through this song, it's also not too demanding. But if you want to play it well and sing it better, at the same time, it has challenges for you.I have only attempted this on the piano with singing, which is difficult for me. Usually, I play guitar or ukulele when I try to put forth a song. But, this piece is better constructed for the keys, IMHO. So, I'm trying, still using better judgment, I guess, but come up short. But, that's not the issue. This is a straightforward, yet compelling song. I might not be able to do much with it, but, as I have said before, I wish someone else with more talent than I have will pick it up.
