I am really tired hearing that when Steve Hackett left Genesis, their lost their major talent. He made a pretty decent decision leaving cos he has not enough creative room in the band. I respect him by doing that. But, which major work has he done after that? Absolutely nothing, here he is 36 years later, playing Genesis covers, just a couple written by him...The success of Genesis, like it or not, is Phil Collins, Tony and Mike tryied to carry on with Ryan Wilson and what happened? And their solo careers? Mike got some success with the Mechanics but....nothing compared with Genesis of course. They are all good musicians but the one who makes them better is PC. You can consider Phil's work as crap, but the success of the band is hand by hand with him, that's a fact.The drummer-singer on Blood on the rooftops is terrible, ruins a beautiful melody.

@TheBluewarriorsheart you're are right, the singing is pretty terrible at times, but don't say that for every bands. It is not because you drum that you can't have a nice voice. Look at The Eagles for instance.
