Thats it , time to call it a day , wishing you all a peaceful end to the weekend , take care and stay safe ...catch you all on the flipside ...play the music ...share it , and stay happy ...goodnight all.

This was Steve Earle's way of completing the 9th step in recovery. His 6th wife flew to Nashville for a planned intervention, Steve walked out. He didn't see her again until after getting locked up and forced to be clean.(so the song touches that 6th marriage as well)

Listen since he came out. Never caught this one until tonight, played it about 20 times. Sang and cried. Wreckage and years. Very so took note of the November mention.........

This song hits so deeply. A soul naked and simple.

Maybe the loneliest song ever. Maybe because it reminds of someone. But still, tugs at ya.

heard it first time in an episode of "Cold Case" or "CSI". Was difficult to find without an idea of the interpret and without no lyriks than "can't remeber, if we say goodbye"

This IS great songwriting. Would fit well on Blood on the Tracks.
