Man does that bring back memories. While I was in high school I used to go across the tracks on Saturday nite to an all nite club when this was really popular. Amarillo Tx., Finley's, 1967 then on into the Army in 1968. Me and Otis. One of the very best soul singers in history. Nobody I mean nobody had a better voice and feeling. He just projected into the room. Made you feel like you really knew him personally. You could tell by his voice that he was a really good person. Very warm and personable. The world misses him and missed him.

such hugely talented guys ....when ever I see Steve Cropper , I always visualise him "back in the day" playing guitar alongside Duck & Booker T in their slick suits & Woody ,well, what can you say that hasn't been said ? Faces followed by the Stones says it all .

Evident that Steve is still shaken by the loss.
