A Song For Dustmites on Steve Burns's debut album Songs For Dustmites.

Steve Burns live performing A Song for Dustmites.

Nano you

And nano me

Living beside me

The micron sea

Will the stars spin around

the Earth again?

I don't know

It's up to them

They'll get to it later

The biggest, baddest world

You've ever seen

Is smaller than a tear

Where all the kids have robot hearts

And dust mites fight with micro gears

Remember when the Earth was still,

And the universe spun round and round

Just for us?

The biggest, baddest world

You've ever seen

Is smaller than a tear

Where all the kids have robot hearts

And dust mites fight with micro gears

Leaping without looking, baby,

I hope you're holding on

Leaping without looking, baby,

I hope you're holding on

this is TheHeathinvader speaking through his new youtube channel, and i must say it again that this song makes me feel like i'm giving a bond farewell to blue & her friends. his song "dead" makes me feel the exact same way. i LOVE steve's music, and i also LOVE his work on blue's clues. the guy was a boss, and i greatly admire his creativity and optimism.i used this very song, "a song for dustmites", song for a video by taking out the vocal & placing the result (a soft, instrumental version) as background music for this video: H.E.A.R.T. Institute (March 2014)i'm not at all sure, but think i MIGHT still have some old blue's clues vhs tapes lying around the house somewhere. i might also still have the blue blanket given to me before i was even 1 year old. i'll go look to see.

Wow. I really respect the guy for leaving a huge show that made him lots of money to do something he wanted to do. It's great music too.

I enjoyed Blues Clues with my kids. But I think it's great Steve took a chance to do what he wanted with the rest of his life and I'm only sorry it took so long to find this amazing music he's done! Better late than never I guess. Great stuff, Steve.

The best part of this is this is music I'd listen too even with out the notion of it being Steve Burns. Usually an actor making such a drastic change real sucks at the change the made. This is just naturally good.

A long way from blues clues.

I feel dirty because I had to go to MTV for the reference to this, but yes, I concur. The man deserves something interesting in his fate, if not even superheroic.
