Impressive! Never got into the speed metal genre but of course I have the outmost respect for their technique and precision at such speeds. What a cardio workout though beats running by a mile no pun intended)

Haha, it is a hard one. I met him once, and told him he was one of my all time favorite drummers. My buddy Jim tried to embarass me and said "He likes Dave Lombardo better than you", Paul replied "I like Dave Lombardo better than me too". Not only a great drummer, but a humble, modest dude with a good sense of humor.

His cymbal set-up is relatively small, if you see some drummers like flo mounier, he has like 30 or something :P

Which was also used by the famous Jazz drummer Gene Krupa in the early 1940's. The real origin of the blast beat. Which was then later made famous by the likes of Pete Sandoval of Terrorizer/Morbid Angel.

He needs to loose about 3 symbols and he would be great. Too much damn symbols for me.
