This is such a trip to witness. I knew him from his greaser sound originally and ended up with an odd LP of what was surely the first American commercial stab (and total failure) at introducing Jamaican SKA stateside! It was not the "next big thing" as hoped for. This cat was all over the place! Billy Lee Riley could jump from style to style with equal finesse but he never made a fucking ska record!
