I discovered River because of one post on Wil Wheaton's goodreads and since then I've wanted to know more about him. I've seen a few movies, but they weren't movies I usually watch. I liked his acting, but I didn't see enough to say how great he was, but I would love to see him in some newer movies. I know his brother has a great talent and by the amount of songs and other things about River I can tell he was loved. It's a shame he died so young. He would be very famous today

It's amazing how many songs were written or dedicated to him. Plus a couple of movies and an album dedicated to him too.... Not to mention, a few movies that were either put on hold or never filmed because of his death. I didn't know this but he was suppose to be in the movie Milk. The director was originally suppose to make it in the 90's but put it off after River died, and there were many more he was suppose to do.....

oh my gosh. i had NO idea stereophonics (or anyone) had done a song called chris chambers about river phoenix!!! this makes me so sad... but thank you so much for posting this.
