Didn't Goldie McJohn pass away recently? They were one of my favorite bands around 1968! (Then along came Zep and Yes!)

They were and still are the definition of COOL. This has gotta be one of the most iconic pieces of '60s rock, never get tired of listening to this great tune, and it was all real.

I am 65, so that would make me 17 in 1969, I was in my junior year of High School. I was going to Western Military Academy. So no drugs. This was one of the best songs to come out in 69. Started smoking, as one reviewer called it, 'Doobies' when I hit college at 18. Point is those songs where all filled with symbolism back then. They told a story. In this music video he showed you... 'Aladin's Magic Lamp' and talks about the flying carpet. So we assume he is telling his version of, Aladin. But those of us that grew up with those songs took it to mean, getting high. 'Come withe me little girl and I will set you free'. Those where the days and yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus! And for those of you wondering, the pot back then was the best... I said all this to put it in perspective. So peace out and thanks for posting this brilliant song!!! The ever lovable and 'groovy' ... Ghost!!!

Who would have known that almost 60 years later Southern Alberta Radio would be playing this song about 32 times a day every day.
