When I was 15, this band taught me how to play the electric bass! Steppenwolf was obviously not a Vocals singing band but musically they kicked serious ass!! I loved John Kay's growling snarl of a Germany singing voice. His witty honest philosophy on 1960s life in America rubbed too many Politicians & then Pres. Nixon .. the wrong way. They do deserve a place in the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. They earned it in my Book!

One of the garage band standard in the 60s.... easy to play and everybody liked it. Those were the days
