Steppenwolf! My first real rock band love affair. Accomplished my first real pick-up to the Magic Carpet Ride...and who could forget Born To Be Wild? Great band from the '60's-early '70's...and meaningful lyrics to boot!

Great guitar riffs in this one and many others by Steppenwolf. Great rock music that holds up today. This is how it's done kids.

For me the most underrated sixties rock bands are Paul Revere & The Raiders and this band!

It is amazing when I think about all the cool songs this band did, yet it seems like all you ever hear is Born to be wild and Magic carpet ride on the radio. Steppenwolf Seven, classic!

Sounds more like funk than rock... Tower of Power could do this song.

It's alright!!! Hey lady mama ,now that's what I call good music,!!! I remember when this song was on the jukebox in bars and people danced to it. What ever happened to all those wonderful people and the music that made us so happy?????.

My brother had this on 45, and it's probably been almost 50 years since I've heard this song. Steppenwolf was a great band. I feel sorry for today's younger generation. They don't make music like this anymore.

That afro though. It's pretty obvious that it's a source of great magical power.
